Molly Damitio is a Doctor of Musical Arts student at the University of South Carolina studying with Dr. Jennifer Parker-Harley. At UofSC, she serves as a teaching assistant for the flute studio, performs with the FUSE Ensemble, and serves on the board of

the South Carolina Flute Society. She earned her Master of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, studying with Prof. Ebonee Thomas, and her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Central Michigan University studying with Dr. Joanna White.

As a performer, Molly has appeared with university wind ensembles, symphony orchestras, and chamber groups. In 2023, she attended the Akropolis Chamber Music Institute, working closely with the Grammy-winning Akropolis Reed Quintet to premiere new works and study woodwind chamber music. She has also earned recognition in competitions, including first place in the West Michigan Flute Association Youth Competition Collegiate Division and second place in the Southeastern Michigan Flute Association Ervin Monroe Young Artist Competition, as well as the National Flute Association’s Masterclass Performers Competition and Collegiate Flute Choir. Outside of performing, Molly enjoys teaching and working with flute students from beginning to intermediate levels.
